About Canyon Creek Art
Hi - Thank you for visiting our online store! My name is Jerry Cornelius. My wife Barbara and I founded Canyon Creek Art in August of 1995. I started framing over 30 years ago as a part-time job in college, and fell in love with the process immediately. I was fortunate to apprentice with some true craftsmen, and learned the trade using many of the old techniques and processes that now seem out-dated but sometimes can prove to be essential. The in-depth knowledge that these skills required continue to support and enhance the hi-tech processes that have been integrated into our production.
I received my CPF (Certified Picture Framer) accreditation through participation in the educational programs and testing available from the Professional Picture Framers Association (PPFA). The program is on-going with classes to insure that all products and procedures are as advanced as possible. I have seen technical advances that have increased efficiency, proved beneficial in protecting artwork and made managing a business much easier. Canyon Creek Art specialize in museum quality framing using materials that create a protective environment, shielding the artwork against invisible pollutants that cause fading and yellowing, that will keep the artwork safe for years to come.
At Canyon Creek Art we strive to give professional and friendly service in a relaxed atmosphere. We strongly believe in selling through education. By listening to a customer about their framing needs and informing them of the technical guidelines; the end result is a beautiful product that generally exceeds the customers’ expectations. All work is museum quality and done on premises by a certified professional with over 30 years experience.
We are known for our integrity and consistent, reliable business processes and procedures. As founders and partners, the balance of our skill sets keeps our store running smoothly. While my focus is on design and production, Barbara handles the marketing, administrative responsibilities and web design. Barbara has worked in the fields of IT, Telecom, Non-Profit, Real Estate, Law Enforcement and the Arts as a computer professional since 1983, involved in a variety of projects, from administrative and advertising work to publishing books and Web pages.
Giclee Printing
Fine Art Giclée Printing Services were originally established as a way for artists and photographers to create their own archival fine art prints on demand and now .... you can too!
A giclée print is an authentic, digital reproduction and is printed directly on 100% cotton canvas or fine art paper using a fine art printer.
Two Different Styles To Choose From:
- Canvas: textured artist's canvas with the look of a traditional canvas, treated with a UV protection, and hand stretched onto wooden support. Great for a large variety of images from landscapes to portraits.
- Fine Art Paper: Smooth feel deep colors. This paper looks great for portraits, pastels, pen and inks. A wonderful paper for any image where you don’t want to add any texture.
